A lovely French Antique Armoire / Linen press with fantastic patination and colour.  In fruit wood, thought to be cherry wood, with 3 solid chestnut shelves & a drawer under the centre shelf.  With a pediment above 2 full length fielded panelled doors. The escutcheons on the doors are decorative brass and original, with working lock.    The solid chestnut shelves are over 1 inch thick.  This piece dates from circa 1880s.  There is evidence of old wood worm in areas, but this has been treated.  The armoire terminates with lovely Breton shaped feet to the front and blocks to the back.  The dimensions for this armoire are as follows:

Height: 81 inches, Width 50 inches, depth  19.5 inches

The top of the armoire is removable as are the doors & shelves.

 A fantastic French Antique Armoire/Linen Press in Chestnut with 3 solid pine shelves & two drawers under the centre shelf . With shaped hat over two fielded panelled full length doors.  The condition of this armoire is generally very good . The piece dates from circa 1880s. The escutcheons on the doors are decorative & the armoire has the original key. Terminating on Breton shaped feet to the front and blocks tothe back. There is evidence of past woodworm. The dimensions for this armoire are as follows:

Height:90 inches, Width 52 inches, depth19.5 inches

The top of the armoire is removable as are the doors & shelves for transportation

 This fantastic antique French elm armoire stands an imposing 90 inches high by 66 inches deep and 24 inches wide.  With a shaped cornice above a pair of book matched figured doors, with two drawers below.  Terminating on shaped feet, with canted corners leading to cherry fielded panelled sides.  This armoire has beautiful colouring and patination. To fully appreciate this piece we would recommend an appointment to view.

French Antique Armoire / Buffet C1900 (stock no. B178) SOLD

 This hugely impressive antique armoire / buffet has a moulded cornice, below which is a decorative carved floral frieze sitting on top of a pair of fielded panelled doors, carved with floral urns.  The lockable doors open to reveal 3 fitted shelves  .The buffet top sits on a base which has a marvellous marble top with terracotta and orange flecks running through it. The base has a pair of carved lockable doors, which open to reveal a fitted shelf.  Above this are a pair of drawers with metal pull handles. The buffet doors are flanked on both sides with twin turned columns. As with all French walnut, there is evidence of old extinct woodworm damage, and the buffet top side panels are warped. However, this does nothing to weaken the structure, and just adds to the character of this very useful piece of furniture.           Depth - 24 inches, Width - 58 inches, Height - 80 inches.

This imposing French armoire has a moulded cornice above some wonderful naiive carving to the front. Below are two large panelled doors with a working lock and key, enclosing 3 large shelves. Below this there is a full length drawer with solid oak linings. The sides are panelled in the traditional style. Ideal as a linen cupboard or for clothes storage.
