Antique French Cherry Armoire
A lovely French Antique Armoire / Linen press with fantastic patination and colour. In fruit wood, thought to be cherry wood, with 3 solid chestnut shelves & a drawer under the centre shelf. With a pediment above 2 full length fielded panelled doors. The escutcheons on the doors are decorative brass and original, with working lock. The solid chestnut shelves are over 1 inch thick. This piece dates from circa 1880s. There is evidence of old wood worm in areas, but this has been treated. The armoire terminates with lovely Breton shaped feet to the front and blocks to the back.
